Late Victorian 14kt Pearl & Diamond Filigree Pendant on 26" Chain

This is a lovely gold pendant from the Late Victorian period. This beautiful 14kt gold piece holds a delicate old European cut diamond at the center of a fine filigree design almost 1 ¼ inches in diameter. The diamond is held in a gold bezel, in the center of a starburst of 12 natural seed pearls. A circular shaped wirework frame holds the centerpiece in place, while an intricate swirling ‘S’ filigree pattern comprises the miligrained border. At the top of the pendant is a matching bail. This beautiful pendant comes on a simple 26“ gold cable link that is 1mm and stamped 14kt. The piece weighs 4.4dwt with the chain. It is not stamped; acid tests as 14kt. This is quite a beautiful piece that would also look great on a shorter chain.
