This is a lovely diamond ring from the Art Deco period. Crafted in platinum, this ring holds a 1.35 carat Old European cut at the center of a Bombè style filigree mounting. The center stone has an approximate GIA color and clarity of J/SI1. The center is surrounded by a navette contrast of calibrè cut natural and synthetic sapphires that are bright royal blue in color. The ring is accented throughout by single cut diamonds weighing in total approximately 0.45 carat that well match the center. The lacy cutouts, fine milgrain details, and hand-engraved accents provide the perfect finishing touches to the exquisite setting. The ring has a fully engraved shank and is stamped “5% IRID PLAT”. The ring measures north south 12.5mm and sits 7mm high. It is currently a size 6 and weighs 4.3 grams. This gorgeous Art Deco ring would look wonderful worn on special occasions, or could make a beautiful engagement piece.
