Product Description

This is a spectacular vintage emerald and diamond ring from the 1930’s. Made of platinum, the ring features a luscious, vivid green antique cushion cut emerald at the center, which is a Fancy/ Step Cut stone and has a total weight of 2.56 and measures 8.72 X 8.68 X 5.11mm. The emerald is certified from the Swiss Gemmological Institute SSEF #46973 and the origin is Colombia. SSEF is one of the world’s leading gemological labs, especially for high-end colored gemstones. The certification states that this emerald is green with medium saturation, that the clarity was enhanced by oil but the extent of the enhancement is minor. This stone is clear and bright, which is rare for a emerald. The emerald is held within a four claw/prong set setting and is accented by two baguettes diamonds resting at either shoulder. The sparkling diamonds weigh approximately .60ctw. with an approximate GIA color and clarity of G/VS1. Both diamonds are bar set and compliment the emerald stone beautifully. The raised prong design has a stacked airline cutout visible from the side, and a simple, smooth platinum band completes the design. The inside of the shank is stamped “PLAT". The ring is currently a size 7 and weighs 2.4dwt. This is a simply stunning piece; the ring is perfect for any emerald lover and could make a beautiful gemstone engagement ring.
