This is a fantastic pair of gold earrings from the Victorian era! Made of 14kt yellow gold, these marvelous earrings have a dramatic hanging design and are quite substantial in size and appearance. Each earring is beautifully decorated with Etruscan beadwork and wirework pattern covering the surface. A large teardrop link comprises the center, hanging from a gold wire surmount at the top., where 3-dimensional beads graduate down. Swinging freely from the bottom is a foxtail fringe design comprised of a row of straight gold bars, a round bead and an elongated bead. Despite their substantial design, the earrings are lightweight and comfortable to wear. The untouched natural patina lends an authentic antique appeal to their overall appearance. They frame the face perfectly and would make a spectacular addition to any antique jewelry collection! They have some slight condition issues being that they are over 100 years old, but nothing that can be seen when they are worn. They weigh 3.7dwt and hang 2 inches long and just over ½ an inch wide.
