This is a spectacular mine-cut diamond ring from the late Victorian period. This incredible ring features a wide navette-shaped setting that holds nine sparkling mine cut diamonds in a fabulous 18kt gold setting. The diamonds vary in size and are hand set in a unique ornate pattern surrounding the center stone which is prong set and approximately .65 carats. The surrounding diamonds are separated by black onyx stones that are set within channels between the bead set diamonds that are held in gold boxes. They are approximately .16 carats each making the total, diamond weight approximately 1.93 ctw with an approximate GIA color and clarity of I-J/VS2-SI1. The diamonds are set in an open-back setting and a filigree design is visible along the edges while a new smooth gold band completes the design. The ring is 1 ¼ inches long and just over ½ wide, weighs 5.4 dwt and is currently a size 6 ½ . This is a magnificent statement ring, its substantial and impressive appearance and would look perfect worn on special occasions!
