Product Description

This is a very unusual diamond and 14kt gold necklace from the Edwardian period. This striking piece is a drippy festoon style design. Handmade, the piece has nine diamond discs that hang together with a paper clip link that all dangle from a white gold cable link chain. Eight of the links feature a matte finished hexagon shaped (6.39mm) that each hold a .12 carat (approximately) bezel set old European Cut diamond in the center.   The center piece holds a .20 carat old European cut diamond and is with a beautiful filigree teardrop (10.37mm X 16.61mm). The diamonds have an approximate GIA color and clarity of I-J/VS1-SI2 and total approximately 1.16ctw. The old European Cut diamonds add a gorgeous twinkle to the sandblasted links. The dangling diamonds fall to the collarbone, creating a sparkling effect that would look exceptional for special occasions or for elegant daily wear. The necklace hangs 19 inches, while the chain is 16 the drop in 1 ½ inches. We added a new lobster clasp as the old clasp was worn. The piece weighs 4.2 dwt . and tests as 14kt white gold.
