Product Description

This is an extraordinary sapphire ring with natural color changing properties. The color of the sapphire changes noticeably when viewed under varying forms of light. In daylight, the color has a deep violet color that closely resembles a tanzanite however, when viewed under incandescent light, the color changes to a strong shade of deep violet-blue as shown in the pictures. The sapphire is exactly 2.69 carats, measures 7.6X6.93X5.44mm and is most likely of Ceylon origin. The sapphire is set in a new platinum mounting  with two straight cut baguettes which rest on either shoulder and are approximately .20 carats each with an approximate GIA color and clarity of F/G-VS. The ring is stamped "PLAT  950" inside the shank, weighs 3.9 dwt and is a finger size 6, that can be sized. This is an outstanding piece, the ring looks stunning when worn and could make a stunning gemstone engagement ring or right hand ring!
