This very unusual fabulous ring is an original Art Deco ring from the 1920’s with a large 2.07 carat old European cut diamond as the center stone. The diamond has an approximate GIA color and clarity grade of, “I/SI1”. Diamonds of this size are considered rare today but at that time period 2 carat diamonds were extremely rare and owned only by very wealthy, high society, people. We wish we knew the provenance but only know that the ring was owned by someone from Pennsylvania. There are 18 diamonds in the mounting that are bead set and 8 French custom cut sapphires that are channel set. The ring is absolutely pristine with hand engraving all the way around the shank and on the prongs. This ring was not worn on a regular basis and shows almost no wear whatsoever. The inside of the ring is stamped, “PLATINUM” and the ring weighs 3.25 dwt.
